Language Is More Than Grammar

On Learning the Arabic Language

The grammarian says, regarding the classification of words, that a word is nothing other than a noun, a verb, or a particle. But if this is the case, why do you struggle to gain proficiency in the Arabic language if every word is merely one of three types of things?
